City of Wichita Park & Recreation DepartmentFC Wichita and the City of Wichita Park & Recreation Department have agreed a facility partnership that has called Stryker Soccer Complex our home since our inaugural season in 2015.

Matches are played on the “Tommy Peckham Championship Field” which currently has over 2,000 general admission seats. Additional supporters sections have been brought in, along with field side tables and an all inclusive party tent to accommodate increased attendance.

Main Stand - General Admission“Needs have to be prioritized based on safety and seating capacity first. There are many good ideas and plans to evolve our matchday atmosphere into a festival style event, we just need to address them one at a time and build it based on feedback from the community.” – CEO Blake Shumaker

FC Wichita directors and staff were in pursuit of Stryker from the moment they were awarded membership into the NPSL. They state that without the support of the original builders, it wouldn’t be possible, so the club and city owes much of their appreciation to Kevin Mullins and Barry Downing, among others.

Main Stand - General Admission“We know Stryker has work to be done before it meets the vision of a full matchday experience in Wichita. Our choice to pursue Styker was a simple soccer decision. Most facilities in the area are football fields made of turf and include football markings. We did look at other venues, but would obviously rather play in a soccer specific environment on a grass pitch. The groundwork was built decades ago when a group of local businessmen were years ahead of our soccer community’s growth. Now, we have an opportunity to build upon their investment and honor the young man who inspired them.” – Shumaker

Stryker is located at 2999 N Greenwich, just north of K96.
