James Togbah, Monrovia Liberia, has re-signed for the 2017 season.
Togbah first played for FC Wichita on a March 19th, 2016, in a friendly match against (USL) Tulsa Roughnecks FC. “James was very impressive,” said GM Larry Inlow. “We felt like he was one of the stronger overall players on the pitch that day.”
Togbah went to high school at Beech Sr High School in Tennessee before heading to college at Eastern Florida State College. Togbah played two years at Eastern Florida State before joining FC Wichita.
At FC Wichita James became one of the top outside backs in the NPSL during 2016 and was recognized with All-Conference and Defensive Player of the Year honors, as well as an invitation to the 2017 NPSL All-Star Combine in Los Angeles.
“Off the field, Togbah is hands down the hardest working player I’ve ever been around,” said CEO Blake Shumaker. “The sky is the limit for him and he deserves every bit of it.”
“I am excited to keep playing at FC Wichita,” said Togbah. “I’m ready to get started.”
