FC Wichita (0-1-4, 4 points) at Ozark FC (1-3-1, 4 points)
FC Wichita heads on the road to Springdale, Arkansas to play Ozark FC. It’s been a different season for the boys in red. They’ve been missing players and weather has been an issue. However, with four matches to go, FC Wichita has a chance to charge up the table.
FC Wichita is currently tied for fourth in the Heartland Conference with Ozark and St. Louis.
Ozark FC is in their third season in the NPSL. They won their first match of the season, beating Little Rock Rangers 2-1 on June 1. They’re coming off a 5-0 loss to St. Louis on June 8.
Ozark FC is coached by Scott Marksberry. He’s in his second season with Ozark FC. He was named the head coach last season. He’s 1-12-2 as a head coach with Ozark FC. He’s currently the head coach at John Brown University. He’s also the Athletic Director at a local high school, Providence Patriots.
FC Wichita is 4-0 all-time against Ozark. That includes last season’s 5-0 home victory on May 5, 2018. Then, FC Wichita stole a 1-0 victory at Har-Ber Stadium on June 2, 2018. A tense match that saw Eddie Gomez sent off with a red card in the second half.
Mark Weir returns to the net where He’s still undefeated this season. FC Wichita’s lineup will once again be strong up front with Franck Tayou and Thomas Wells becoming a fixture. The consistency is key for FC Wichita’s success.
