The multi-purpose facility is home to FC Wichita, as well as Wichita’s premier youth soccer academy, FC Wichita Academy.
With the weather acting up for the city, Stryker Stadium has exceptional drainage, so footing on the pitch should be no issue. The proper layout of the pitch, puts the fans and player’s safety in first priority.
FC Wichita and Tulsa already threw down on the pitch once this season. It was a scoreless draw on a rough field in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 11. FC Wichita is riding a six-game unbeaten streak against Tulsa.
Tulsa currently sits atop the Heartland Conference table with seven points. They have wins over Ozark FC and the Little Rock Rangers. Aboubakr Diallo has three of Tulsa’s six goals this season. Diallo’s goal per game average has him seventh in the South region’s scoring columns. Gustavo Vargas, Aaron Ugbah, and Joseph Gilbert are familiar faces for the Athletic.
