FC Wichita travels to Ozarks FC on Saturday in a Heartland Division match up. FC Wichita is coming off a thrilling 3-2 win over Tulsa Athletic last match to put the winning streak at three straight. Ozarks FC lost 4-0 to Dallas City FC in their last match.

“Coming off a game against Tulsa, one of our biggest rivals, we can only come into the game as strong as possible,” Deri Corfe said.

The two teams played earlier in the year, and Wichita came out victorious after falling behind early, with a 4-3 win over Ozarks FC. The game featured a hat trick from Leo Sosa off three penalty kicks and a goal from Corfe.

FC Wichita jumped from 18th to ninth in the latest power rankings provided by the NPSL win the victory over Tulsa Athletic.

Corfe is leading the Southern Conference in goals scored this year with five in four games played. Close behind his teammate is Leo Sosa who has four goals in four games.

Ozarks FC has yet to find a point on the year, after dropping their first four matches. Ozarks FC sits in the last place of the table with the worst goal differential that is negative-20 so far. While FC Wichita sits atop of the table with ten points, only one point separates Wichita and Little Rock.

“Every team is going to play their best game against us, last game against Ozark we made mistakes on set pieces, and we won’t make the same mistakes again,” Leo Sosa said.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at John Brown University Soccer Stadium in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. There is a watch party scheduled at Jersey’s Bar & Grill. Johnny Freedom will be on the call. Come out and support the lads as they try to bring home three points.
